Summary

According to The latest  Chile's Fisheries administration annual report, “Public Account of Resources Status 2016” ,indicates that of the 43 existing fisheries, 25 are managed by precautionary approach, including progress and declining in fish group size with action for the recovery. Red squat lobster from full exploitation status in 2016, moved to under-exploitation and anchovy fishery from over exploitation, to a fully exploited status in 2016 Chilean hake as well. However, the status of the hoki declined to the exhausted condition that was concluded that the spawning stock biomass is in a state of exhaustion, with a rate of exploitation around the maximum sustainable yield. Paolo Trejo, Under Secretary for Fisheries and Aquaculture, said "Progress towards sustainability restates that the conservation strategies and the precautionary approach is everyone's task”.
With these efforts, It is expected to show advance in recovering and sustaining fisheries up to exploit able level.

As a student studying biology, I believe for maintaining and recovering ocean enviorment there should be domestic, government and international level of action.
For domestic level, people should aware of habitat devastating and try not to over consumption of sea property because if there is decreasing in consuming, should be less exploitation. Secondary, government have to impose high fee over overexploiting, catching small fishes and put continuing investment and experiment for sea enviorment. And for the International level, the most important factors of environmental drift is climate change especially water temperature for the sea culture and ocean pollution, for these things, all world should gather and find solution for everybody. The mother earth is only one, can not be replaced. We should love and protect it before it is too late.
